Our single-origin bean is sourced and grown in Africa. The aroma during roasting, and after roasting is magical. This specific bean is from Rwanda (Western Rwanda). It is grown in the Gasharu region and naturally processed. We are thankful for our partnership with Umuko Coffee and the Rusatira's family to help us stay stocked with quality coffee beans to roast for your enjoyment. Cherries selected for this lot are collected at altitudes between 1700-2100. Flavor notes of Gingerbread, spice-cinnamon, apple pie, red ripe fruit, hint of tropical fruit and cacao nibs. Body note is smooth/medium. Our partnership with Umuko Coffee allows us to help coffee farmers who work on the Gasharu coffee farms to receive proper pay to provide for their famillies. Out of all employees on the Gasharu farm, 70%- 80% are women. This means alot to me since I grew up in poverty and in a single parent home raised by mother. My business has become a mission to support coffee farmers and the moms who work on these coffee farms.
